I like my carbs, chickpea pasta is high in protein; therefore, making getting my protein in easy with this meal. The garlic herb seasoning with the cubbed squash are incredible!
High protein, high carb, & low fat for my vegan & vegertarian clients. A meal that is low fat is best utilized pre and post workout. In regards to preworkout, this is so because prior to training you want a meal you can quickly digest, so as not to hinder your workout. In regards to post workout, studies have shown you do not want a meal high in fat because again, it can slow digestion, therefore delaying absorption. After your workout is the time you want easily and rapidly digested nutrients to fuel recovery and growth.
